There was a time when you're talking about parents and the job they do.
You know, at some point we convinced dads to call their son Buddy.
And he's my best friend.
And it went from father and son to a peer-type relationship, which is, I believe, a lot of the problems that are going on.
I'm the dad.
I'll tell you what to do.
No, you don't get an equal vote in this house.
But when it becomes your buddy relationship,
When your son becomes your buddyβand I know it sounds small, like a weird thing, but nobody really referred to their son as their buddy or their friend or their best friend.
When I was growing up, it was a dad, and we didn't even knowβmy friends' dads, I didn't even know their first names, just Mr. Vendig and Mr. Truex and all that kind of stuff.
And now we've gone into this kind of buddy system.
And I don't think it's worked well for the young men.

Well, you brought up...
Something that I've been thinking about and talking about a lot, which is sort of safety and too much safety and safety Uber Alice.
And I started noticing that, especially in blue states, governors like Gavin Newsom would wish everyone a safe Thanksgiving and a safe holiday.
And it was always safe.
And I never grew up, you know, I grew up, it was fun.
It was festive.
It was merry.
