They're not really in doubt about it.

And that's when they get us involved.

So we're number two on the scene at the best.

We're not there to begin with.

We're not watching them come through the ER door and seeing it that way.

So this notion that the child abuse pediatrician is primary, we are not.

There's already other physicians that think there is an issue there.

And so guess what?

There's going to be at least several of us that think this, if not more.

And then we've got all this other specialists that get involved in various cases.

So this again, it gets back into the somehow we're these all powerful people.

And then we get criticized that we have no power.

And, you know, which way is it?

Pick one and let us know which way you think it is.

But

But we're only involved when somebody already has a concern for this.

And that's when we hear about such cases.

We don't go walking around at school systems and say, let's check all the kids out and see what's happening with them.

How would we even know any of these things?

And so it's a misunderstanding of the medical system.
