It's a pleasure to be here on your podcast today.
And I just appreciate having the space to have this conversation because I definitely think it is one that is needed.
And you're right.
A lot of people look at me and they just may see the white coat or me stepping on stage to speak.
And I think, man, you must have it all together.
And I really want to stop and pull them aside and say, you have no idea what I went through.
I always say, thank God I don't look like what I went through because I would look beat up, okay?
But that, yeah, that's definitely not the case.
So before I ever wore the white coat, before anyone ever called me doctor, I was faced with one of the most darkest and most challenging moments of my life.
I knew probably since I was five or six years old, I wanted to be a doctor.
I was just fascinated with the human body.
the way it works, constantly asking questions about, you know, how is it that my heart is beating and what happens inside my stomach when I'm digesting food.
And my parents were like, hey, we can't answer these questions.
We need to get this girl some help.
