I don't want to operate like that.

I don't want people to feel like that.

And all of our team members, they get paid hourly.

But some weeks are going to be harder than others.

But our profit sharing is collective.

Everybody benefits.

Nobody benefits more than another person because we're all working together to achieve the same thing.

But you can't just reward people blindly.

And I don't think it's as meaningful to people when you reward them blindly.

Oh, it was a tough week or we did well this week.

Here's an additional 50 or 100 bucks or something for the weekend.

I've done stuff like that in the past, and it's just not the same as when you know why you're working so hard.

And at the same time, if you're not doing something to reward your team like this, eventually it starts to feel like if you want to talk about goals and it takes everybody to hit the goal,

And all you're doing is rewarding the team with more work to do and a higher goal.

Eventually, most people are going to be like, what's the point?

If we're just looking to hit a higher number, I'm happy to work here.

I'm grateful for the environment that I work in.

But that only goes so far, in my opinion.

And then when you take that away and they've already made that lifestyle adjustment, that's a tough pill to swallow.

And then there's resentment there.
