I think you know, this is Tabor Lodge or whoever it is, you know, the Rutland Centre, whoever you here use all different here here are things for you to think about um and maybe to reach out to because I don't know, we don't know what the alcoholic's life is like, but functioning seems to me like family and all the rest of it and work and all that going on there and like to to do that properly and fully, I think you need you need help. matched

No, well, you see, you try you're trying to support someone without without being complicit in their addiction. matched

I mean that's the dilemma we're trying to think about here. matched

How do you support someone without becoming complicit in their addiction? matched

And uh addicts will be manipulative for sure, you know what I mean? matched

There's no doubt about it because the the the addiction becomes parmi everything, all consuming. matched

And so I would also be w thinking about myself. matched

That's their addiction, right? matched

I'm I'm I'm their friend. matched

I love them, I want to support them. matched

I'll tell you, but I can't be lying in bed ruminating around this thing because I've got my own family going on and I'm not I'm not an addict and I I have my family, my kids, whatever it is, and I need to live my life. matched

I want to support my friend, I'll give them the information, I'll talk to them about it. matched

Yeah, I know what you're saying. matched

Um and I've worked with so many addicts and I've and I've lived with one and uh I suppose I've got all sorts of things going on in my head here. matched

Um agency is a hard thing to get when you're an addict. matched

So somet sometimes you do need someone to lead you to the you know, and give you the you know give you the give you the path and say, Look, here's the Rutland Center, here's the here's AA, here's this. matched
