And I really want to talk about this idea of chronic stress and how it raises cortisol levels, quite literally, but also how we can modulate negative self-talk that can unfortunately shut down our prefrontal cortex and lead to behaviors like overeating or you know, this idea of having

to look for um sugar and and sort in our in our day to day to sort of like uh emotionally calm ourselves.

Um so let's talk about like negative self talk and and how we can modulate that.

It's just that practice of it's getting into that sort of um uh frame of I'm gonna speak to myself as if I would speak to a friend.

And when you it's it's almost like catching those negative spirals, you know?

I think something that you also talk about was the uh asymmetry between the negative self-thoughts and the positive self-thoughts, right?

So again, it's not just this idea of like toxic posity where you just like mitigate it with just like um feelings of happiness or like uh gratitude or whatever.

But it you we do have to recognize that there is a bias towards negativity and that the uh that the the complement to that.

or the the counter rather is uh actually a lot more positive self thought.
