love that fart water. podcast-host
Yeah. podcast-host
I'm writing that down and underlining it. podcast-host
Gotcha. podcast-host
Yeah. podcast-host
It it's funny, isn't it? podcast-host
Because I've had conversations with my colleagues who are anethetists and they're, you know, for the listener, they're responsible for hydration in very sick people, in ICU, and and acute uh scenarios. podcast-host
And they ask me about hydration status, because they can hydrate someone if they've had a gunshot wound or something, uh, or are incredibly septic. podcast-host
But in terms of day to day, it is that. podcast-host
It's just being a lot more intuitive, looking at your pee and making sure it's light straw coloured. podcast-host
Um, there aren't any other signs I I I've certainly not come across ones that are validated that can t determine whether you are hydrated or not, other than perhaps maybe a bit of dry mouth, but your pea is is telling you so much. podcast-host
Hmm. podcast-host
If uh someone's listening to this and thinking, okay, oats are got that, it's leaning more towards that soluble side of the fibre equation, are there any other ingredients that lean in that same direction that you would say, you know, would be worth sort of practically adding to different meals throughout the day? podcast-host
I love that because I I think we have this propensity, particularly in the health and wellness uh arena, to sort of optimize as much as possible, like hit the maximum amount of protein, hit the maximum of fibre. podcast-host
And to your point, your earlier point about fibre, it's something that you want to do very gently. podcast-host
And those simple practical uh tips of like adding carrots, skin on cucumbers, corgettes, uh even things like skin on podcast-host
Potatoes, new potatoes, sweet potatoes, those things, things. podcast-host
You're getting like a couple of grams of fiber at every meal just by adding those extra things. podcast-host
And by virtue of that alone, you're slowly adapting. podcast-host
I love this word that you said earlier, slowly adapting your fiber to be increasing over that you know three, four-week period. podcast-host
