Well, if you keep burdening them with more and more work without giving them the opportunity to move ahead and stretch.
And grow?
They're going to shrivel up.
They're going to they'll do the work.
but they will burn out.
And it's not so much about the quiet quitting or the loud quitting.
They will do the work, but you will notice a change if you look carefully.
They will stop.
Offering ideas.
They will stop being innovative.
Now they are just checking off boxes.
They are just doing the work.
Where what differentiates these high performers is the fact that they are able to think differently and bigger and more strategically and more innovative.
But if that's not what's being rewarded, they're going to go to the lowest common denominator, which becomes, let me just do.
