It's even more detrimental when it's the high performers who are quiet quitting, because they're the ones the high performers are 400% more productive than an average employee.
And for specialized fields, that's the number is even higher.
It's double that.
It's 800%.
So if these are the people who are no longer offering ideas, no longer offering suggestions.
No longer wanting to create workflows, no longer wanting to mentor and train the next generation.
The organizations are be going are going to become stagnant.
And that is not a competitive advantage.
What can we do about this?
I think it's high time that we started looking at the talent within the organization.
We spend so much time trying to recruit the next hot thing, the next big thing.
But we recruited that next hot big thing, and they're now within the company.
Why don't we look within first?
And frankly, it's much cheaper to do that for the organization.
It cost a fortune to hire these new people.
It's can cost four to five times their salary to get them up to the learning curve where they can start really working effectively.
But you already have the people internally who are so great.
