Um whereas like in healthcare or health tech, traditionally, sometimes the clinicians are viewed as like the governance people, like the regulators, not really like the innovators or the builders.
And at least at Heidi, it's the opposite.
We have like incredible compliance team.
We still take risk and governance
Seriously, but the most innovation comes from um the clinicians.
Like our head of product Mo was a doctor.
Uh you know, I'm a clinician of what are the team at a clinical and I think that's why we've actually built one of the best things in market.

Um a Heidi related one was at the end of 2023, we had to make a really difficult decision because of the GPT models.
So actually back in 2020, when I was starting Heidi, uh back to Oscar, we actually got funded as a model company.
So I had done some machine learning.
Uh you, my co-founder, was an ML guy by background, and we actually got funded.
And a deep tech person joined our board.
I was like, these guys are going to build the models for medicine, and those models are going to be super valuable.
And that's the thing that they're going to monetize.
And like, that's how they succeed.
Like, no one would be able to build models as well as Tom and you use my co-founder.
Um, and so that's what we did.
So we spent 2021 and 2022 building a lot of hardcore models.
It's where the name comes from.
