Done right, done appropriately.
You know, I'm a big slow and low girl on that.
You guys have heard, I've got a lot of content around that.
Okay, what else can we talk about here that I think is critical for you to know?
There is urinary frequency.
That's a big symptom of menopause.
You very safely can take, whether you have obviously talked to your doctor, but the consensus is if you have breast cancer, history of breast cancer, sorry, not active, history of breast cancer, and you've been told you can't use any estrogen replacement therapy, may very well be a candidate for vaginal estrogen use.
And I talk about this with Dr. Men on the episode that I mentioned, Dr. Corinne Men, and we both believe and so do many others that vaginal estrogen can be very safe and effective.
But I will say that urinary urgency is also a systemic estrogen issue.
So it may not make all of that go away.
You may still have some urgency without systemic estrogen on board.
But vaginal, it's a good start.
Some of the advice if you can't take HRT is obviously what I mentioned, cut down on alcohol.
Some websites will tell you to cut down on caffeine and spicy foods.
I think caffeine and spicy foods are amazing, but if they make you feel terrible, then obviously discontinue them.
And I've had to have some patients discontinue them.
I think of spicy foods and caffeine though, truly as longevity herbs.
There's studies on it.
There's no way around it.
Like spicy foods vasodilate you, which is awesome.
