Like the depression I was experiencing and the mood changes and the cognition changes were horrifying to me.
There is a reason why middle-aged women are the highest group of women that unalive themselves.
once we get past like teenagers.
But I still think middle-aged women, when you look at the stats, it's a higher stat.
It's really devastating.
And I think it's because of these brain changes and we all have different brains.
And so when women are out there like, you don't need hormones.
Really, honey?
Really?
Because like your brain might be different than my brain and my brain was not doing so good without estrogen.
And so if you can't take estrogen and you're having a real difficult time,
There are other tools out there, and I'm a big fan of using what we got and doing what we need to.
That doesn't mean you have to take copious amounts of anything and lose your personality and go flat, but I have seen low doses of SSRIs and SNRIs, and gosh, there's a whole plethora of options out there that done... I think there's an elegant way to do it, and...
even if it's just for a transient amount of time to kind of just take the edge off so that these women can function.
There's a huge amount of women that leave the workforce in middle age because they literally can't function anymore.
They literally can't do their job anymore.
Can you imagine the impact this is having on society?
Women are at the highest point in their career.
They are
potentially bringing skills to the workforce that we wouldn't have otherwise, or a level of expertise in these individual women doing phenomenal things in their respective careers.
