And it's just so perfectly exemplary of everything else we're doing as humans because high fructose corn syrup is the exact same molecule as fructose.

And so instead of turning it into a sugar, it turns it into this

And so the chemical process is called a racemic.
And so a racemic is the chemical name for the mirror image of a molecule.
And so you can basically create chemical reactions that will create the mirror image of the molecule.
And so high fructose corn syrup is a processed food where you're taking normal fructose and flipping the molecule through a racemic chemical process.
Because you can patent a molecule that doesn't exist in nature.
And so they created a quote-unquote artificial sweetener, which is actually a profound way in which you can start to understand how we did everything in the pharmaceutical industry.
We find plant compounds and we flip them around so that they're non-natural compounds.
not native to the body, and now we can patent them and we can commercialize them.
