Now, here's the thing.
Let's say that candy bar business, you would not buy it for $2 if you can only sell it for a dollar.
But here's the great thing about real estate investing.
Let's get back to the idea.
You can buy it for 50 cents and you sell it for a dollar to make 50 cents.
But what if you don't even have the 50 cents and it costs you 25 cents to borrow 50 cents?
You're out of pocket, 75 cents.
You sell it for a dollar, you're going to make 25 cents every single time you sell a candy bar.
You're going to be thinking, how do I borrow more money to buy more candy bar, to sell more candy bar?
Same thing with real estate investing.
So when you realize that you stop being an investor and you build your income and you become a business owner, when you do that, you have the experts in the city that you're investing in.
Again, I invest in five different states.
like Zillow's not a expert, Redfin, Trulia, like all these websites, they're just databases.
They're not experts.
Who are the experts?
The people living there on the ground.
You don't have to, if you live in San Francisco, you don't have to invest in your city.
You can invest all over the country.
In fact, my students, we invest all over the country, making money every single month.
