Nobody gets fired or laid off of the government, but I did.

And the reason why I tell this story is because of the two things that I realized right there.

So I went back to my desk at just getting laid off, and I realized these two things.

Well, number one, I need to find another job.

I need to find another way to provide for my family.

So praise the Lord, I found another job in the same county.

A different department wasn't having those issues.

So check.

Got that.

But the second thing that I realized sitting right then and there was I need to make sure this never, ever happens to me again.

I didn't make sure that nobody can take away my ability to feed my family.

So right then and there, I told myself, no matter what happens, I'm never going to let life get in the way.

I am now an investor.

So whenever you get asked the question, what do you do?

I would always reply with my job.

I would say, you know, I work for the county doing IT.

Well, when we reply like that with our job, we're projecting out to the world a value that we put on ourselves comes from my job.

I realized, no, my value doesn't come from my job.

My value comes from my God and for myself and for my family.

So right then and there, I started telling everybody I am an investor.
