And if you look at the kind of the rugby today, you think, oh, well, yeah, that'd be dominated by Yorkland, Canterbury, Waikato, Wellington.
Well, it wasn't.
Rugby was a really provincial game.
In 76, Bay of Plenty won it.

Canterbury actually did win it in 77, but then it went Wellington, Counties, Manawatu,
Wellington.
So she was really moving around the place.
Manawatu were a force because all the students, all the ag students would go into Palmerston North.
Was the army base still there as well?
They had the Linton army base, yeah, and they had the students who were the flashbacks and they had all the dairy farmers.
