But it was such a dream for me because I think growing up, I was obsessed with Broadway.
And it was almost like the way that people would, like, follow sports.
I would follow Broadway shows.
Like, oh, this person's, you know, going into this show now.
And this person's taking a leave.
It was like my hyper fixation as a kid.
And I was a performer in San Diego my whole life.
And so I think if you had told little me that I would get to play, like, a really โ
incredible woman from history in this girl group, I wouldn't have believed you.
And I actually auditioned for the show like five years ago as a non-binary person.
They've always been really open to having people of different genders in the show, but it is really a celebration of femininity and womanhood and whatever.
