Ukraine's embassy in the U.S.
is asking supporters to gather today for a rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington to mark four years since Russia's invasion started.
The actual anniversary is February 24th.
On that date in 2022, Russia's ground forces, which had assembled on their side of the border, began their ground offensives targeting Kiev, Kharkiv and Kherson.
The war continues with Russia now occupying significant Ukrainian territory.
While tallies of deaths are not conclusive, some analysts think the number of soldiers and civilians killed between both sides could be more than a million.

Lawmakers in Virginia approved a new map of congressional districts crafted by the Democratic Party majority with intent to give their party four more easily winnable seats in the U.S.
But a judge in the Commonwealth has already issued a restraining order against placing that new map on a referendum vote.
making it harder for Virginia to adopt the new districts in time for November's midterms.
Democrats in both Virginia and California are looking to increase their congressional seat holdings in response to President Trump pushing Republican majorities in Florida and Texas to do the same.

Jeffrey Epstein's estate is agreeing to settle a lawsuit brought against the late financier's two associates who serve as co-executors of the estate.
The agreed upon number in the federal class action suit is $35 million.
That lawsuit alleged the two men, one who served as Epstein's personal lawyer and another his accountant, were helping to facilitate Epstein's trafficking of women and girls.
Neither of the men are criminally convicted, nor do they admit any wrongdoing.
It's not the first time the disgraced Epstein's estate has settled claims.
It previously paid $121 million to a restitution fund.
