Two days after her abduction, they found her car.
The trunk was covered in blood.
Police brought Marie in for questioning, but she had an alibi.
At the time of the adduction, she said she was out fishing with her cousin Ellie.
Cousin Ellie was all like, don't get me wrapped up in your bullshit and denied the claim.
Upon further questioning, Marie admitted that she had not been fishing on that fateful day and that she had gone to Bob Pierce's office.
But while she was there, her and Vivian Ritter were both abducted.
Good story.
In her news story, the abductors drove both of them out to an orange grove and then decided to let Marie go, driving her back to Leesburg and saying that if she said anything, they'd kill her.
Marie led police back to the orange grove, where they would later find Vivian's body.
