He told me to strip down naked, bend over, spread my cheeks, and cough.

But being new to jail life, I was incredibly nervous and thought he said, strip down naked, bend over, spread your cheeks, and talk.

So there I was, my asshole aimed at the cop's line of sight, asking him how his day was and telling him what I had for breakfast.

I mean, it was redundant because from that angle, he clearly could have seen what I had for breakfast.

barked at me cough i said cough don't talk cough and then i retained my right to stay silent except for a couple little coughs and no cocaine fell out my tushy and i was allowed to join the other incarcerated people that night you're lucky yes i was lucky you are i mean you say seven ain't a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but in this room i think you have everyone beat by seven yeah yeah

And you're easy on the eyes.

That I am.

So I like to think of my fears as somewhat rational.

For instance, I'm not scared of flying because I know that Delta would never let me die because they don't want to pay out Julie.

And plus, how often do commercial airliners fall out of the sky?

A little too often if you listen to the Pain in the Everglades episode.

But...

I am pretty scared of cars, mostly because people die in cars all the time.

In fact, accidents are the number three cause of death in America.

In the U.S., driving a car is a rational fear, especially when old stock car Zebrowski's driving.

I'm very safe when you're in the car.

So over the last couple of years, the thing I realized that is the most common denominator in absolutely horrific deaths mentioned on last podcast on the left is that they are unfortunately usually women.

Roughly 92% of women murdered are by men they knew, and 62% of all women murdered are done in by a man who they were in a relationship with or closely related to.

Fucking scary-ass numbers.
