I know how much people earn depending on the category that they work for.
What I mean category is whether they work for a PMS or an RMS company or a hardware company, for example.
I know that depending on their seniority, geography, and the type of function that they're in, whether it's sales, marketing, or accounting, for instance.
But then we also have asked about ENPS, which is sentiment.
Basically, are you happy in this industry or not, which was super surprising, which I think is actually lower than hospitality operations.
And I thought it would actually be much higher because of the typical things you would think.
These people have their weekends off.
These people aren't, you know, facing difficult guests, for example.
I just thought that that alone might make things, you know, make them happier.
But it's clearly not the case.
I think it's expectation setting that isn't being done quite well.
I think maybe people are expecting things to be a lot easier in hospitality tech than it is in hospitality when it's not on the sales side.
For example, you can earn the most working for an OTA, but you'll be the unhappiest.
Why is that the case?
Because I don't have the data on exactly why that's the case, but I can only guess right here.
So my thought is, compared to the other hotel tech products out there, I feel like the people who work for an OTA, they kind of know that they're not adding a tremendous amount of value to hoteliers.
They know that hoteliers want to...
decrease their dependence on OCAs.
Whereas all the other people that work in other hotel tech companies, I know they really feel like they're adding value to hoteliers.
They really feel like hoteliers want to use them as well.
