It was just so hard to kind of get my head around.

the amount of stress that it was causing and also that I needed to protect myself.
Because when somebody is narcissistic, they're going to hoover you back in and they're going to want you back.
And exactly, the pattern was exactly that.
He wanted to get back with me.
He wanted to hoover me back in.
He wanted all of those things.
Yeah.
And it's probably the most disrespectful thing to say to a woman who has been through any form of abuse, emotional, physical, anything.
The thing is, is they have you on a hook.
They have you on a hook.
And it's like I remember my counselor saying this is like coming off a drug.
