My parents spent a lot of time away.

And I kept it from everybody.

Because in my head it was like, right, if I if I can cook dinner better, if I can be a better person, if I can be kinder, if I can because when y when you're at the receiving end of abuse

it's a form of brainwashing really.

You do believe what the other person is saying about you.

You you really do.

And looking back now, you know, it it's completely insane that I would have felt that way, but I did.

You know, anything that I was told, I over time, if you're told something so many times, you you start to believe it.

I felt I was worthless, like I was nothing, like h what could I do?

I'm stuck in this.

I'm here on my own with you know, I'm here with three kids.

I like I at this point I was at home re rearing children.

I was working in the tourism industry at the time.

But I knew things were getting really, really bad and I just couldn't find it in me to confide in anybody.

So I said, Right, I have to so I had two options and it was a choice I had to make.
