Interestingly enough, I guess, the polyamorous people in general, they're very used to talking about their feelings.
They're used to having challenging conversations.
They're used to kind of looking inside and seeing what part of this is insecurity on my part, what part is, you know, like they're introspective.

So it wasn't unusual for them to have this conversation.
It certainly felt exposing to me, but I was fine with it.
Not only I've got to know more, but these people, these humans are delightful.

I felt much less afraid of it.
It seemed much less kind of, I don't know, sinister is the word that occurs to me.
And I hate to use that word because it makes it sound so scary, but it definitely felt very heavy.
to me, to be caught in this, I really want to be with this man, like, he's really important to me, but I really don't want to do this thing that's really important to him.
And that felt very uncomfortable.
And the more I came to learn about polyamory, the less threatening it felt.
And the more comfortable with it, I became.
And I kind of wondered, is this something I would want?
So for about three years, I was a civilian, you know, more approaching it, how does this impact my own life?
