And what happens here is there becomes an absolute conviction that a partner is being unfaithful despite adequate evidence to that fact.

Maybe a delayed text message becomes proof that they're cheating, or a changed password is proof, a different tone in their voice, or maybe the way that they're holding their body language is proof.

And again, I know that there is legitimate betrayal in relationships and cheating very much happens.

The key here is suspicion by itself is not a delusion, but when

The suspicion with repeated attempts to gather evidence fails the evidentiary test.

At that point, it has become delusional and it become it can become very obsessive and it can destroy relationships.

I would say with of all the relationships I've ever worked with in Break Method, this is about 30% of relationships have at least one person.

Acting out some sort of jealous delusion that is not actually happening in objective reality.

The next type of delusion is a somatic delusion.

And these are all centered around the physical body.

So these would be things like something is living under my body, my organs are failing all these medical tests and it's gonna fall out.

Where of course, like objectively, we don't think that's really going to happen, or maybe an obsession with thinking that you're emitting an odor.

that everyone notices even if nobody else can detect it.

Or it maybe the belief that somebody took away a part of your body and like put back something else or even things like chip implantations and things like this.

The sensation to you might feel very objectively real.

And that's something people misunderstand about psychosis.

The person's experience can be subjectively real, even if the interpretation of that experience is objectively inaccurate.
