Basically, this thing that's happened to you, it doesn't matter because what does matter is that the family stayed together.
So there was a lot of crossovers there as well with my developmental experience.
So, you know, I think, to be honest, the trauma in most people that go through trauma as children that also have ADHD is,
Sadly, it kind of sort of elevates all of the negative traits that you have with ADHD.
So, you know, I think the problem is with a lot of high functioning women with ADHD that are late diagnosed as well.
They're highly resilient.
They're very high functioning, often very successful, spend their lives masking.
So from the outside, it doesn't look good.
Like there's much wrong and they spend a great deal of time feeling quite isolated and lonely as a result of it.
So I'm sure a lot of the female listeners will relate to that.
Trauma really does elevate a lot of the negative sides of ADHD.
And I've met very few people that have got ADHD or autism, actually, that don't have some level of trauma with it.
Yes.
Not so much with my dad.
So I'm going to answer that in two sections.
The first is, does it make people more vulnerable?
That's a definite yes, and I'll tell you why in a moment.
