It's a song that I would have spent hours listening and watching to like montages of Michael Phelps on YouTube, who was like my idol.

2008 was my first Games.

2008 was the Games where Michael Phelps won eight gold medals at the Olympics.

So it's one of those songs that just sprues something in me.

And it would be a song that I definitely listen through throughout my whole career.

I don't know, to be honest.

It's a funny one because I get asked a lot about like growing up in my childhood and

I just feel like I was a kid and then I was an adult.

I don't feel like I had the in-between where I was allowed to grow up and make mistakes because, as you said, I was 10 years old when I got drug tested for the first time.

So that's when things were like, oh, OK, this is very serious.

This was no longer a hobby?

No, no.

And if something is found in your system, you could serve a ban for four years, if not longer.

No, this was my first major international.

I hadn't been to a European Championships.

I hadn't been to a World Championships.

London 2012, because it was so close to home, was the main focus for me as a swimmer.

And the reason I did qualify for the 2008 Games and the reason given as to why I went was so that I could have the Games experience.

And by the time London came around, I wouldn't be like a deer in the headlights and I'd know what to do.

But unfortunately for me, going to Beijing was like the most amazing experience of my life.
