Do you know what, we didn't really think about the whole Tempestry thing.
It was just, all we wanted to do was get him well, like, you know, like, but you're right, like, like, they're the times you're meant to be at home relaxing, like, you know, and enjoying your newborn baby and like, you know, it's such a big change as well, the third especially as well, like, you know, and that was tough.

So the next day we had to drive from Cork to Tempestry basically.

they just talked us through what SMA was again their explanation of SMA was a lot different than the explanation we got I suppose in CUH they were like no like you said a minute ago this is life limiting like this is it's not going to be okay like you know it's like I think with the treatments they said the best case scenario is he'll be able to sit up
like, like hearing that then compared to like what you heard in CUH, I thought he's going to be great, like he's going to be fine, you know, like, and I mean, they're probably just trying to reassure us, I suppose as well, like, you know, I don't blame anyone for that, like, you know, but anyway, it was a bit of a shock and it was really, really hard for Charlotte to hear that, like, you know, and just flipped, flipped everything upside down, I suppose, really, like, you know, and
The treatment options were this drug, a miracle drug called Zolgensma.
It was the most expensive drug in the world at one point.
It was like 2 million euro a pop.
You get it for free in Ireland, thank God.
