But as the show went on, I got more into it because I'm like, okay, we're making this a thing.
You're making it a character in the world.
And I'm like, this will be such a great reveal because in my head I'm like, obviously you've had this planned from the beginning of who it is, who has been, like, writing about Blair and Dan and Chuck and Nate and Serena.
It's like the writers forgot that they had to reveal.
No, but I didn't think at the beginning they ever planned to.
Really?
This is why I was angry about it.
I just don't like sloppy work.
And they made this big thing of, like, who is Gossip Girl?
And it became so clear as the last season unfolded that they had never thought about who was Gossip Girl.
They had never planned for it.
And so they just picked a character that they thought would be really shocking.
Like, who would be the most shocking?
So they said it's Dan.
Why would a man be there?
Which is the worst reveal in TV history because throughout the seasons it is so obvious that it's not Dan.
Or he has some sort of split personality disorder where he doesn't remember, like, one part of his life does something and the other part does, you know, he's got, like, memory loss or something.
Like, they didn't even try and, like, write it off like that.
They were just like, he's been an evil mastermind from the start.
