So I'm assessing the person with dementia a ton on a Medicare case, but all the intervention
is pretty much directed to the caregiver.
One thing that we might do is
think of activities and sensory experiences that they can open up for the person they're caring for.
to just improve their overall quality of life.
And produce difficult behaviors.
Even when you're not there, right?
Absolutely.
It's not the kind of thing where I could come in twice a week and do a sensory intervention or an activity.
And have that make a whole week's worth of twenty four seven care easier.
But if a caregiver is providing that kind of stimulation.
Every day.
That's gonna make their twenty four seven care easier.

My father in law also now has Alzheimer's and I went to the social worker at his memory care clinic.
And said, hey, we've worked together before.
This is what I'm doing now.
And I've gotten some really great referrals from them.
I also have an amazing colleague who is a geriatric care manager, social worker, sort of advisor who's in private practice.
And she was one of the earliest people to really encourage me and say, you can do this.
