No, but that assumes that both parties are equal and that they both are in a position to advocate for what they want and need.

And I think that historically that obviously has not been the case.

You've had men in the position to say yes,

hey, I am going to travel for six months of the year.

And, you know, there are lots of different reasons why this is the case, but I'm not a family man.

I'm not like just, I'm not going to sacrifice anything when it comes to my career.

And women have not always been in, if you're completely equal, okay, but women have not been in the position to advocate back.

So

the thing that lights her up or would make her feel most alive isn't even on the table.

And so I think then what happens, and this is something I've talked to a lot of friends about, is can you say yes to something and then resent them for it?

And that's what Hamnet is sort of about.

It's like she says yes.

and he goes and pursues the dream, but she's pissed.

She's sitting there.

Well, actually she's not pissed.

Until something goes wrong.
