So if you think about you're just creating some possible scenarios, that's all you're doing.
It's a bit of reassurance for leaders because they have to give up money and resources.
And time into this project.
And they need to know they'll have something at the end of it.
So I would say remember that they're not promises.
So you're not being held to them.
List out all of the caveats as well, all of the things that could change it.
If the work isn't done on time, if things don't get signed off, if things, if there's a technical issue, if there's an algorithm update, list out all of the things that could change and then give yourself
as much data as you can and use your instincts because the numbers will get you so far, but the more experience you have, the more you can take that experience and instincts and what has happened on previous projects you've worked on and say, okay.
this feels about right.
Model it out from historical data, model it out from click-through rate, search volume, whatever data source you want to use.
But I would say just have a go at what it could look like and then make it clear that it's labeled as a projection scenario if all of these things are worked out.
So you give some numbers, but also you're covering yourself that they're not promises.
Yeah, it's such a good question because I think a lot of SEOs in their career will eventually get some feedback as they progress to say, you really know your stuff about SEO, but you need to be more strategic.
And I find that it's often very hard to define what that means.
But in my experience, if you are providing fixes or issues or implementation, you're talking about tactics.
You're talking about things you're going to do, work, outputs, checklists, all of those for me are tactics.
The strategy is the reason why.
So the strategy is what we're trying to get to.
It's the goal, it's the plan.
