Here you go, lucky girl.
You know, here's something that you didn't work for.
You got to put the work in.
It's just that simple.
Ambition has to find you working.
Yeah, you know, I'm obsessed with comedy and I've watched like every Chris Rock special, like back to front, I could recite them for you.
But one that he always talks about, he's like, at some point he gets like this house, this like beautiful dream house.
And he says his house is so good that he keeps a bag packed because he can't even imagine that like this would be his life, like that this is like his and he owns it.
And I kind of like feel like that so much.
I interviewed Cardi B on my podcast last week and Cardi, like to me, I was like, I don't know that I have much in common with Cardi B. I was like, oh, that feeling of like never wanting to be poor again.
Like the first word she said to me, I was like, we are the same.
Me and Cardi B, we're the same person.
But that is something that I think for so long haunted me, this idea that what I'd worked for could be taken away or would be taken away and I would be poor again.
And not even like just poor, but without...
The ability to make my own decisions and to decide, like, what I do.
And so that is something that I feel like it's always going to be with me.
I am always keeping the proverbial bag packed because I wake up in this beautiful room in Bel Air and I'm like...
That can't be my life.
It just cannot.
There's a little piece of that that I don't want to get rid of.
