Now, a few weeks ago, I did an episode on how to interview.
And the whole point of that episode was this.
You are not auditioning.
You're actually choosing.
You're assessing whether or not this company, this role, this room deserves your time and your energy.
And I got so much feedback from that.
People told me it changed the way they walked into interviews.
They stopped being nervous.
They started asking better questions.
And I loved that.
But
But what I didn't talk about was the other side of the table, because at some point, and I hope this is you, I hope you get there, you're the one doing the choosing.
You're the founder, you're the hiring manager, you're the person building a team.
And let me tell you something, that side of the table is actually harder.
I promise you it's so much harder.
When you're the candidate, the worst thing that happens is you don't get the job.
And when you're the one hiring, the worst thing that happens is that you bring the wrong person into your business, into the thing that you've built, the thing that you care about more than anything else.
And it costs you.
