Because I really think those of us that have like a natural inclination to learn more about ourselves, to understand our habits, our patterns, what makes us us, how do you cultivate self-awareness?
Because it is one of the most important things.
Yeah, which is harder the more successful you get.
Well, it depends on the type of person you are.
I think people are less likely to tell you the truth when you are successful.
I had a particular moment this morning where I had an opportunity to tell someone who had been an arsehole that she had been an arsehole in a nice private way.
Not loud, but it was like, it was important to me to say, you know, she was very confused by something she'd done.
And I was like, no, you were an arsehole.
Clearly you care about that person.
I care...
And that is the only reason, because if I didn't care, I wouldn't care to say anything.
I'd be like, go on with yourself.
But it is really important.
And people find it really hard to do that.
Well, that's what I want to understand.
I think having people around you that will tell the truth is superpower.
So how do you cultivate the type of conditions that allow people to tell you the truth?
But I love what you're saying because I think that we have created conditions oftentimes around ourselves where we don't enable people to tell the truth.
And it is something that really hampers people.
I actually think again, and I always go back to women because there is an ease in the way that we kind of feel like we have to always give positive feedback, lift each other up.
