Like just don't try and flatter yourself in any way.

I'm paraphrasing grossly.

And that was my goal when I was writing.

It was just to be like honest.

I just didn't think anyone...

I just didn't think about anyone reading it.

My family have read it.

It was also essential.

Like, I wanted to write about all the themes that were surrounding PMDD.

And it's so dishonest to pretend that that isn't because I experienced it.

And I would just be replicating the fact that I couldn't see Sandy Craddock on the page.

I couldn't see Christine English on the page.

If I were to write this more intellectual book and less bodily book, it would just be dishonest.

I'd just be leaving myself off the page.

Yeah, I struggle with like is it narcissistic to write about yourself?

Yeah, but also it can be generous.

Like how else do we see these experiences that are so sidelined unless –

is that we should spend a lot less time worrying about how mad or crazy or emotional we are and a lot more energy trying to be mad and crazy and emotional in the ways that we want to be.

So not suppressing that, but instead channeling it in the direction that means something to us instead of fearing ourselves.
