Yeah, well, it's very beautiful.

It's beautiful.

And the Kilpatrick Hills are just northwest of Glasgow, actually.

That's where he's situated.

But also, I think that there's a feeling at the end of that poem as well that that relationship can't be sustained, you know, with the storm coming and the plates being washed.

Well, are you referring to the fact that he was gay?

Yeah, I mean, it is very interesting.

I mean, he was such a wide ranging, brilliant poet and he was gay as well.

And when he wrote this poem in 1968, you know, it was illegal to be homosexual.

And in Scotland, it was really only made legal in 1980.

And Edwin Morgan himself, he didn't come out as a gay man until his 70th birthday, which was in, I think, 1990.

So, you know.

But I think, though, you know, when I read this poem, I see it first and foremost as such an intimate, as you said, love poem.

And to me, that's what matters.

And it's really the reader can make of it what they want, you know.

And there are lots of straight poems that we don't know if it's a man or a woman or what's going on.

But

I think when you look at this poem and you read it, it is, for me, first and foremost, one of the most beautiful love poems written in the 20th century.

So I want to bring it in.

And you're right, you can feel the strawberries, feel the heat, the intensity of it.
