Christian is a great example and exactly what Matt described of how it doesn't matter what you do on Instagram or what you did in the prior competition of a lifter who would not ever be rattled by that because they're in complete command of their own athletic journey and they have a realistic idea of where they can be and they will perform at the peak standard when the time comes.
And in my mind, that is the definition of an advanced lifter.
This isn't basketball.
This isn't team sports.
It's not boxing.
And if you need to have a rival to be at your best, it's a weakness, not a strength.
