There's plenty of arguments to be made, like, why is that the case?
Should we have an oral formulation?
manufacturers are like where's the money in an oral formulation because everything comes back to capitalism but the fact of the matter is that in the u.s we do not have any safe and regulated oral regimen or oral drops available
the only thing that we have available in the u.s is the intramuscular and that is what is preferentially used across the globe it is yeah so yeah

And like you said, Erin, the really concerning thing is just how much refusals are going up.
And we don't yet have data like good peer reviewed published data on what this means for the rates of vitamin K deficiency bleeding.
There was a ProPublica article that came out very recently.
That sort of has a lot of anecdotal stories of it, and you can see anecdotal stories all across the news from physicians who are seeing babies come in with bleeding who had never seen babies come in with bleeding before.
But because it's still happening now, we don't have published data, and because it's not a reportable disease.
And so it's not like hospital systems are –
necessarily collecting this data voluntarily and then reporting it out for someone to actually do a study on.
So it's going to be years before we have data to show this, but that doesn't mean that babies aren't dying right now because of this.
