It seems to me that getting good at money, the skill is at least one of them is prioritizing.

Like you are learning to figure out what your money is actually for because you got this finite pot, right?
You're not forecasting.
You're not going infinitely into the future and planning these paychecks that may or may not come.
You're dealing with the here and now.
How much money do I have right now spread out on the kitchen table?
And then you're giving every single dollar a job, figuring out which each one is for.
And that is a real skill because I think for me pre YNAB, I wasn't prioritizing.
I just figured I could have it all or I couldn't have anything.
You know, I was just spending here and there and hoping it all worked out in the end.
But then when I got YNAB and I'm like, oh, I actually have to make some decisions here.
I have to evaluate what matters, what doesn't.

And you mentioned this happening every time that money, new money comes in.
