So the depth of this team has always been a strength.
There's never been that number one guy.
You bring in Bobby McMahon, he's given more of an expanded role.
He's allowed to be the guy.
There is no Matthews.
There is no Nylander, no Marner, no Tavares.
He has to play behind.
You put him on that top line, 10 goals in 18 games.
He added another seven assists.
He was able to really show what he can do.
And going into the offseason, Kraken GM Jason Bottrell, he said that was the number one goal, was to re-sign him in a fairly weak free agency class.
And again, not calling any of the guys who were signed weak, but there was no big blue chip, you know, McDavid, McKinnon, those type of guys, right?
you needed to take care of your own house and the Kraken took care of their own house.
It was a really good deal for Bobby McMahon.
And now he's locked up long-term and he is a player that number one, you can build around, but I think more importantly, he wants to be here and listening to Bobby McMahon.
That is the number one thing that I think ownership and management and the fan base, they want people who want to be here.
He wants to be a part of this community.
