I think though, if we take a pause, one of the reasons this market has been, it's been volatile this year because a lot of this, but one of the reasons the S&P has been up year to date is simply being the underpinnings are still good.
The economy is still growing.
Earnings are still good.
We've got a lot of happening within AI, but you're absolutely right.
The story of this year so far has been AI and energy.
Right.
And a little bit slightly different than last year.
But, hey, we've been talking about AI now for about three, four years, isn't it?
So, you know, it's always in the background.
But I think, yeah, I think the key when we think about this economy going forward is not so much the earnings impact, but the impact on inflation and interest rates.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
And you know, at the end of the day, we are talking about the markets, right?
Your clients are investors.
And we know at the end of the day, we need economy to be growing, which begets earnings growth for the markets to actually generate good returns.
You've gotten great returns from the US equity market in the last few years.
Not just good, great returns.
And a huge amount of that has been driven by earnings growth.
The market's up here today, but the P multiple of the US equity market is lower from where we started this year, right?
While prices are up.
But actually, if we look, and the 10-year treasury, we'll get to that, is up, right?
