So there'll be not a hint of a nursery on our end for a long time.

But a really lovely non-consumers trend that is also popping up on social media now.

It's everyone harking back to the village that they say you need and that we want to have.

So instead of people saying...

here's a load of tat that we bought that we think the baby will like and the parents are there struggling like just trying to survive to get through it's a thing at a baby share where rather than bringing presents people do a little list and they sign up to the tasks that they'd love to do for your postpartum so someone might be like oh I'll drop in a meal or oh blah blah I'll come and hold the baby while you can go shower do whatever etc so people are kind of offering their time and that's a really lovely way to go about it as well especially maybe if you're a little bit further down you've a kid or two already you don't need the stuff you've got the stuff

Yeah, so and I'd actually be really terrified of these.

We've been really careful where we're buying from because there has been reports out in Science Daily earlier this year showing really dangerous levels of lead in baby clothes from some of the fast fashion brands.

So for me, we're just looking exclusively at 100% cotton things.

We're looking at trusted retailers, things that are happening in the EU and then the stuff that we're being passed down as well.

We're just making sure to look at the labels for those.

If there's no labels on the clothes as well, I really wouldn't be trusting them.

And a lovely thing that I didn't think would be happening as much as it still is, is knitting.

I thought knitting had kind of gone a little bit by the off into the distance.

Yeah.

And thankfully, there's loads of people still offering to knit for us.

So gorgeous bits coming in from my mother-in-law with lovely wools and things like that.

So any of those natural materials are what you're going to want to look for.

And thankfully, if you are out and about the shops or even secondhand, which is where a lot of those things are immediately coming from, they're not that old.
