I'm so pleased we've met, Nick.
It was such a pleasure.
I love just those definitions of pressure and stress.
And I love the definitions of rumination and reflection.
Because I think if you can actually even say to yourself at a difficult moment, actually, this is just pressure.
It's not stress yet.
How do I want to deal with it?
Is the best way just to nip everything in the bud and take a little bit more control over a situation.
And I also really like the way they've identified the three different sort of stages of burnout, because I think that most of us think burnout is we've driven off the cliff, you know, and I'm not sure if we're all aware.
I think we all recognize when we're stressed, but I think if you've got those definitions of one, two, and three, if you can catch it at one and put techniques and tools into place to prevent you from getting to three, everyone's going to be living their lives.
But if I'm ruminating on that thing, then... But how many times do you drive in your driveway and you think, gosh, I don't actually really remember driving home?
I know.
I mean, come on, we all have that feeling occasionally, don't we?
I thought that was really interesting.
At first I was going, oh, waking sleep, it's like a dream.
And it took a moment for me to kind of get that...
But yeah, I think all relate to that.
I said in the podcast, but I just want to repeat, we've spoken about this very much from an individual point of view, but the book, it does have a whole sort of part of the third part of the book is very much aimed at how to change organisations or to instill change in organisations.
So if you do want to go to an employer...
or you are an employer and you're thinking, actually, we could be much more efficient.
