A system says, here's how you build.
A system says, here's what to track.
Here's how to adjust when life gets in the way.
And that's why this episode matters, because walking is simple, but consistency it's not automatic.
Consistency needs support.
Consistency needs a plan.
Consistency needs a system.
Now when people decide to get back in shape, especially through walking, I see three common mistakes.
Mistake number one, they start too big.
They decide their first walk needs to be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour, or a certain number of steps.
Now if they can comfortably do that, great.
But many people are not restarting from a place of strength.
They're restarting from stress.
They're restarting from fatigue.
They're restarting from weight gain.
They're restarting after an illness, an injury, a medical treatment, a long break, or a difficult season of life.
And when you reset from that place, the first goal is not to prove how much you can do.
The first goal is to teach your body that movement is safe again.
That's a very different approach.
Now mistake number two, they confuse soreness with success.
