So you might have a view that in the pre-social media days, you would be standing in a park screaming and people would be ignoring you.
But now social media brings all those park screamers together and it reinforces what they believe and it leaves them feeling that they've got the right view.
The best thing to do with social media, particularly with young people you mentioned as their brains are developing, is to stay off of it.
But secondly, go on and by all means, don't treat social media as a source of news.
As you know, social media platforms, they have no journalists, they have no editors, no fact checkers.
So go to trusted sources of news rather than social media if you're going to try to prepare yourself for conversation.
Yeah, I mean, our view is the way we get past this is when people say we've had enough.
And the way to do that is call people out.
In individual cases, you can do it in a,
in a very friendly way.
You can give them a copy of the handbook as a message.
But also with our elected officials.
You look at these town halls that have been taking place, and they become very uncivil.
But even when they're not, so often the elected officials stand up and say, I'm going to Washington.
I'm stopping all those bad things that the other people on the other side are doing.
I promise I'll stop it all.
The better question may be from all of us as citizens is, what have you done?
What have you accomplished?
