But I think, you know, certainly we'll we'll touch on it.
Certainly some some challenges in in the housing sector at least.
I think for sure, right?
I think um the truth is for Australia, I think population growth had actually been supporting it quite a while, right?
So I think it'd take us all the way back to twenty nineteen, let us all remember that uh a long time ago.
But really, you know, GDP per capita wasn't doing much then either, right?
So for us that the per capita growth story had been quite soft and quite weak, you know, population uh productivity, which we'll talk about I'm sure.
You know, what
And so um yeah, you know, I think it it certainly benefited us.
The way this really came through actually, quite interestingly for us, is certainly very weak consumer confidence in Australia over recent years.
Uh it has, you know, improved a bit from its trough.
It is still quite weak.
Uh but you contrast that to to the business confidence, uh, which is you know our nab measure in in our surveys, and it's you know, it kind of certainly was weak, um, but certainly not a kind of that
that weak level that was reflected in consumer confidence.
And so for businesses, you know, you kind of saw at least some benefit from the aggregate growth in the population.
So
Um, I think so.
Um, you know, I think the the the lowering of rates we've seen so far has, as you said, kind of sort of re spur reboosted kind of house price growth uh, you know, over the last six months or so.
But I think, you know, in my mind very much, you know, we we know inflation has moderated and and real wages are rising again.
But I think the huge story definitely across the states in Australia, right?
