There's something quite nice about being involved in those types of things.

From his point of view, the vote of confidence that he's given in the RFU, he's probably looked at it and went, what a great journey it would be to almost go through with the group that he has and then see what the next calibre of guy is.

Because the experiences that he's going to be able to bring through from his Lions experiences right across the board, was it 15-odd years he'd have been involved with Irish rugby at that point?

But for somebody who's a young fella coming through, to be able to learn from him would be incredible as well.

So I think those sort of things are all important and the lessons that he can bring and where he can actually leave it.

What has he achieved in the next World Cup?

What will he have achieved?

with the group that's coming next and where can he leave the thing?

I think you're right.

He could have literally taken a two-year contract.

But again, I don't think he's that type of person.

I think he's the type of person who just wants to literally drive the whole thing forward.

And all the conversations you have, like speaking to players and stuff,

the way he communicates the way he gets things done um you know he's bringing the best out of people all the time and who's to say the next group that comes through that he can't take them and mold them to be you know one of the best best irish outfits that's ever been um and that's probably what he foresees and it's great that he's at the helm steering the ship

Sorry, just to back up, you know, we're kind of talking about Andy Farrell.

There was, you know, having succession plan that length of time.
