And it's like, you know what, if it was urgent enough for her, then maybe it's something I had to think about seriously.
And so I stepped up and decided that I was going to pursue to be the person who was going to stand tall for votes, voting, and voters in the face of this assault on our democracy.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
She hit me with that.
She didn't need to see him lie to everybody on TV to know what the truth was.
Okay.
So President Trump is obsessed with a lot of things, but he's really obsessed with the fact that he lost the election in 2020 and can't accept it.
And he's obsessed with the fact that
he lost the state of Michigan and won't admit it.
So he lies about the election results here and across the country.
Michigan was a state he singled out more than any other state in that 30-minute address full of lies.
He's trying to create all of this pretext and circumstance to sow doubt.
And this all comes down to the truth that
This is a person, a president, and a Congress that has passed unpopular policies that have hurt people, they've gutted Medicaid and kicked people off of Medicaid and closed rural hospitals.
They've made everything more expensive.
rather than having better ideas or making a better argument you're trying to make it harder for people to vote and so by giving a speech like that he's someone all that kind of discord and misinformation and disinformation which are just multi-syllable words for the word lie um so that people can not trust what's going on and not trust not trust the fact that their vote will count and if enough people don't trust it then maybe fewer people will vote and that's ultimately what they want
I'm going to give you this example through the story of my grandma.
