And so what he's saying is that these white supremacist ideologies are.
are motivating so much of this political violence.
And it doesn't surprise me when I look at the way that those who are peddling this kind of ideological thought, the way that they talk about it, it doesn't surprise me that those people are then motivated to go out and commit acts of violence.
But we also have to acknowledge that white supremacy is in itself violent.
The history of white supremacy in this country is a violent history and it is the predominant history.
You know, people, you know, they talked about in this Megyn Kelly piece that we were responding to.
They talked about like, hey, like maybe there was a time when things were unfair.
When did that stop?
When did it end?
Can you can you point me to the exact moment, the exact date when that stuff ended, when when discrimination ended?
We've passed many civil rights acts since the 1964 iteration because we keep finding ways in which our society and our laws are unequal and people are navigating and figuring it out.
And so that's the position that we find ourselves in this moment.
Will Black people ever, ever, ever, ever be able to be self-sufficient or independent?
This question is obviously racist, but I will answer it as if it was asked in good faith.
First of all, before emancipation, Black people created the necessary infrastructure for their independence and self-sufficiency.
